Question 1

What is AEO (Answer Engine Optimisation)?

Accepted Answer

AEO is the practice of structuring web content so that large language model search engines, such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews, cite, mention, and recommend your brand when users ask relevant questions. AEO complements SEO; the two have overlapping but distinct ranking signals.

Question 2

Is the AEO check free?

Accepted Answer

Your first check is free once you sign in; after that each check is 2 tickets. You get an AEO score, a schema audit, E-E-A-T signals, a brand-visibility check in Perplexity and Grok answers, and a prioritised list of fixes.

Question 3

How does Casa check whether SI answers mention my brand?

Accepted Answer

Casa asks Perplexity and Grok a set of questions about your category and records whether your brand appears in each answer, where, and which competitors appear alongside you.

Question 4

What’s the difference between AEO and traditional SEO?

Accepted Answer

Traditional SEO targets ranked link results on Google, Bing, and DuckDuckGo. AEO targets generative answers in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews. AEO weights schema markup, FAQ content, citation-friendly formatting, and authority signals more heavily; click-through optimisation matters less.

Question 5

How long does the audit take?

Accepted Answer

It runs while you wait on the page: Casa fetches your page, reads its HTML and schema, asks Perplexity and Grok, and writes the report, which appears when it is done.
