Activity Type
Speaking Activity
Focus
Forming present simple questions with Do you...?
Aim
Students mingle and ask questions to find classmates who match each prompt.
Level
A1–A2
Time
15–20 minutes
Preparation
Print one sheet per student.
Procedure
Give each student a copy of the prompts sheet.
Elicit the question form for the first prompt together: "Do you eat breakfast every day?"
Students stand up and mingle around the classroom.
They must ask different classmates for each prompt — they cannot ask the same person twice in a row.
When they find someone who answers "Yes", they write that person's name next to the prompt.
The first student to complete all ten prompts sits down and is the winner.
Debrief: ask students to share interesting findings. ("Maria plays three sports!")
