Time
15–20 minutes
Preparation
Print one prompt sheet per student for inspiration. No cutting needed.
Procedure
Explain the game: each student writes three sentences about their past in the past simple. Two must be true and one must be a lie.
Show the example prompts on the sheet for inspiration.
Give students 5 minutes to write their three sentences.
In pairs, Student A reads their three sentences aloud.
Student B asks one follow-up question about each statement, then guesses which one is the lie.
Switch roles and repeat.
As a class, vote on the best lie (the one that fooled the most people).
