A building at an airport where passengers arrive and depart.

boarding

noun

Getting onto a plane.

"Boarding starts in 20 minutes."

There is / There are

Use 'there is' for one thing and 'there are' for more than one thing.

There is a café near the gate.

There are two terminals in this airport.

There is a problem with my passport.

There are many flights to London today.

A Busy Airport

Anna is at the airport. She has a flight to London. Her departure is at 11:00. There is a long queue at check-in. She shows her passport and gets her boarding pass. The gate is number 7. There are many people at the gate. Anna is excited. She is going to visit her sister in London. The flight is two hours long.
